Bookkeeper

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording financial activity, reconciling accounts, processing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and documentation.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping.
  • Monitor cash flow and track outstanding balances.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with management and external accountants as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar systems.
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with high-volume AP
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
  • Experience working in small business or multi-entity environments.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Compensation

Salary between $60,000-$80,000 qualifications, and location. Benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
